Okay, okay. So it wasn’t really a vacation. We did have a complete blast touring abroad, however, which always makes working way more fun.
Here’s a photo recap of the week. Let’s start in Brussels, Belgium.
Brussels was a great time to explore and relax for a few days, but then it was time to hit the road for our first gig. Off to France! We absolutely loved playing at The White Rabbit in Réding. Many thanks to Phil for his wonderful hospitality (and those insane, German fire shots.)
This little guy was into the tunes:
Our next stop was CountryFestival at Château de la Motte in Sint-Trudien, Belgium. I mean, this place was a total dump.
Obviously, I’m joking. This festival was so wonderful – you couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere to play music. We met the most amazing people here, and the crowd was bananas. We felt like one million
euros bucks afterwards.
Here’s a much better video of the awesomeness.
Lastly, we trekked back down to France to play at Le Grattoir in Gérardmer. Check out this scenery.
Not too shabby, right? The show was killer, too. The place was packed, the staff was incredible, and it was the perfect way to end the trip.
We boogied our way back to Brussels to make our way home…
…Then, yesterday, this happened.
Long ass story short, our flight was diverted to a super small airport in Canada because of a generator failure while we were over the ocean (scary!). You can watch the full news story here. Jason was interviewed about it as well.
It was pretty insane, but we’re super glad to be safely at home. Despite that whole ordeal, we’re so lucky and grateful to have had such a fantastic week. Many thanks to Wendy and Phillipe (our concert promoters) for making this happen. We can’t wait to get back soon!!
